The issue is devoted to the topic Fictions, Facts and ‘Effects of Reality’: Questioning the Mimetic in the Nineteenth-Century. It is edited by Luisa Villa of Genoa University and comprises essays by Silvana Colella, Rebecca Hutcheon, Gail Marshall, Ann-Marie Richardson, Gary Totten and Carolyn Williams.

The journal English Literature: Theories, Interpretations, Contexts invites to send article proposals on the topic: The wonderful, the fantastic, and the preternatural and their verisimilar representation from the Gothic novel to Fin-de-Siècle Literature.
The journal will also consider proposals for the Miscellany section of the journal on any topic, issue, subject-matter related to English literature and literatures in English.
